INSTALLATION
To install the application, run the installation package (file with the .exe extension) and follow the instructions of the installation wizard.
During installation, Kaspersky Small Office Security detects and allows removing applications that, when running concurrently, may affect your computer's performance, even causing complete inoperability.

Kaspersky Small Office Security that is installed on a file server is compatible with Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Exchange Servers 9.0 Maintenance Release 2 and Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Exchange Servers 9.0 Maintenance Release 3. For proper operation of Kaspersky Small Office Security File Server together with those applications:
Disable Mail Anti-Virus
Disable Web Anti-Virus or in the Web Anti-Virus settings add the web addresses of Exchange Web Services to the list of trusted URLs (Web Anti-Virus settings -> Advanced Settings -> Configure trusted URLs)

Partial support of Yandex.Browser and the Microsoft Edge browser has been added.
Support of the HTTP/2 protocol has been added.
Network activity of applications can now be controlled before Kaspersky Small Office Security has started.
Functioning of the System Watcher component has been improved: protection against cryptors has been implemented. If a cryptor attempts to encrypt a file, Kaspersky Small Office Security automatically creates a backup copy of this file before it is encrypted by a malicious cryptor. Backup copies are stored in the system folder for temporary files. If a cryptor has encrypted a file, Kaspersky Small Office Security automatically restores it from the backup copy.
It is now possible to create Firewall rules in notification windows.
Interaction of the application with supported browsers has been improved: now a single extension is used instead of several separate plug-ins.
An option to download Kaspersky Password Manager from the window of Kaspersky Small Office Security has been added.
Wi-Fi network connection notifications have been improved. Wi-Fi network categorization issues have been fixed.
Safe Money functionality has been improved.
Events involving the weakening of protection during operation of Protected Browser are recorded in the event log.
The application now includes the functionality that checks the trusted secure connection to Kaspersky Lab services and websites of online banking and e-money systems by verifying the certificates of the relevant web resources.
An option to send feedback has been added.
Mail Anti-Virus has been improved. The default level of heuristic analysis has been increased to medium.
Anti-Banner has been improved. Lists of websites on which banners are not blocked have been added. Component operation statistics have been improved. It is now possible to manage Anti-Banner via the Kaspersky Protection extension.
Quick access to the main tasks (such as a scan task or update task) from the taskbar notification area in operating systems that support quick access lists has been added.
The progress of tasks performed by Kaspersky Small Office Security is now displayed as a progress indicator in the taskbar notification area.
The On-Screen Keyboard icon has been improved. The icon no longer prevents data input in the entry fields.
Application performance has been improved and computer resource consumption has been optimized.
Less time is required to start the application.
MAIN KNOWN ISSUES
When data is sent to Technical Support, the request number must be in upper case.
If the Always scan encrypted connections check box is selected, a scan is performed even if all protection components are disabled.
When you enable Anti-Banner, you must refresh all open web pages to enable Anti-Banner functionality on those web pages.
When the application is installed over previous versions, some applications may disappear from the list of monitored applications in the Web Policy Management settings.
When the application is installed over previous versions, protection against screen lockers is enabled by default even if it was previously disabled.
If the application is reinstalled, the Software Updater component will be enabled by default even if it was previously disabled.
In interactive protection mode (in the Settings -> Protection window, the Perform recommended actions automatically check box is cleared), detected threats processing tasks requested from Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console portal might not be performed if there is already a request to process the threat on the user's computer.
Backup and restore might not be performed for large collections of files (hundreds of thousands).
